Revolutionizing Poultry Farming:
Sustainable Solutions for Pollution Control, Feed Production and Organic Compost
Poultry Farming has been a critical part of the global food industry for many years, providing a significant source of protein for human consumption. However, the increasing demand for poultry products has also led to the accumulation of Poultry Manure, which can cause significant environmental problems if not managed appropriately. While Poultry Manure can be used as a natural fertilizer for plants, its improper handling can lead to pollution, bad odors and health hazards for the Birds, the Farmers and the Environment.
The core staff at Supr Enviro has more than 22 years of extensive experience in Poultry Farming. Several studies on Black Soldier Fly farming have been conducted concurrently.
Poultry Manure is a valuable resource that can be used as a natural fertilizer for plants. However, it can also be a source of pollution if not managed properly. BSF Larvae can be used to help break down the manure and reduce its environmental impact.
BSF Larvae can be raised on a Poultry Manure and once they have matured, they can be harvested and used as a Protein, Calcium, Phosphorous, Fatty Acids and many Amino Acids profile feed for Poultry, Livestock and Fish.

Black Soldier Fly (BSF) Larvae are insects that are known for their ability to efficiently decompose organic matter, including Poultry Manure.
Supr Enviro has designed an ideal formulation with BSFL to solve many issues in the Poultry Farms. The BSF larvae are introduced to the manure, where they will feed and grow. As they consume the manure, they break it down into a nutrient-rich compost that can be used as a soil amendment. This can make the manure a more effective fertilizer for agricultural crops.
This process helps to reduce the Bad Odor, Ammonia and Housefly populations associated with manure and can also improve the overall health of the Birds.
BSF Larvae are a sustainable and environmentally friendly way to manage Poultry Manure and other Organic waste. They are efficient decomposers and can help reduce the amount of waste that ends up in Landfills or other waste management facilities.
Overall, using BSFL to process poultry manure can be a sustainable and cost-effective way to manage manure on a Poultry Farms.
In addition to their role in manure management, BSF Larvae are also a high-protein feed ingredient for Poultry, Aquaculture and Livestock. They are a sustainable alternative to traditional feed sources like Soy and Fish Meal and have been shown to have a positive impact on animal growth and health.

1) Housefly Control:
Fly control is important in Poultry facilities due to possible economic loss from increased disease spread, mortality and food safety concerns.
Houseflies do not cause direct injury to birds, but transfer pathogens from bird to bird within a flock or from Farm to Farm. Flies feed on manure and dead birds, picking up bacteria and other pathogens on their mouthparts, legs and wings. When they land on feeders and waterers, they contaminate the feed and water and pass on the pathogens.
Control of just the adult portion of the population will only be short-term. Removal of Fly breeding habitat is the key to effectively reducing Fly populations.

2) Housefly Control Chemicals:
The use of chemical pesticides for housefly control in poultry farms can have negative consequences.
Firstly, the use of chemical pesticides may cause the development of resistance in the target pests over time, meaning that the pesticide will become less effective.
Additionally, chemical pesticides can be toxic to the environment, including aquatic life, beneficial insects and other animals.
Furthermore, chemical pesticides can pose a health risk to both Humans and Hens too, as the chemicals can be absorbed through the skin or ingested through the food.
Finally, chemical pesticides can be expensive and can have an economic impact on the operation of the Poultry Farm.

3) Odor Control:
Poultry manure can produce unpleasant odours, but BSF larvae can help reduce odours by consuming the organic matter in the manure.

4) Pathogen Reduction:
Poultry Manure can harbor harmful pathogens, such as Salmonella and E. coli. BSF larvae are known to reduce the levels of these pathogens in manure, making the resulting feed or fertilizer safer to use.

5) Ammonia Reduction:
Ammonia Gas in Poultry Houses seriously affects the health condition of the Birds. Good Litter management and ventilation will minimize the level of Ammonia, improve Productivity, reduce the likelihood of Respiratory Diseases, improve the Birds’ welfare and provide a pleasant, safe environment for Workers.
Ammonia is a Gas present in the atmosphere of every Poultry House. It results from the chemical decomposition of uric acid in droppings by certain bacteria in the Litter.
Ammonia Gas has a characteristic pungent odour. At high concentrations it is irritating to mucous membranes of the respiratory tract and the conjunctivae and corneas of the eyes.
Damage to the mucous membranes of the respiratory system increases the susceptibility of birds to bacterial respiratory infection, especially E. coli infection. High levels also have a negative impact on overall livability, weight gain, feed conversion, condemnation rate at processing and the immune system of the Birds.
Ammonia causes:
a) Damage to the Respiratory system
b) Damage to the Eyes
c) Lesions in the Cornea

6) Organic Compost / BSF Frass:
BSF larvae are able to break down organic matter and convert it into a more nutrient-rich form, which can be used as an Organic Fertilizer. Black Soldier Fly Frass, is a soil amendment and fertilizer that is made from the Larvae of the BSF.
It is rich in nutrients, including Nitrogen, Phosphorus & Potassium and is an excellent source of beneficial microbes. It is also rich in Magnesium, Organic Carbon, Boron, Copper, Manganese, Iron and Zinc. This can help reduce the environmental impact of poultry farming by recycling nutrients back into the soil.
The Black Soldier Fly Larvae is an Eco-friendly and Carbon Negative Technology. It’s a Sustainable and Natural Solution to control Pollution in Poultry Farms.
